Lib Dems have recently been campaigning against Conservative plans for a massive 30% increase in car park charges in Maidenhead. Public outrage at these increases has led to the Tory council reconsidering keeping the rate the same for residents as it is now.

Local residents have been horrified by Tory plans to increase car park charges by up to 30%
Nicholsons for instance for the first hour is rising from 70p to 90p.From January motorists will have to pay up to a third more when using this car park. The Tories admit that a staggering extra £170000 will have to be forked out by users here.
